Dr. Namrata Kabra has done MBBS & MS from Govt Medical college, Aurangabad.,did her short term fellowship in cornea from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She did observership at Singapore National Eye centre for latest advances in cornea & refractive surgery.
She is a skilled surgeon, proficient in cataract surgery without stitches, using phacoemulsification in routine & complex cataract case with vast experience with premium intraocular lenses.
She has performed a large number of conventional corneal transplants as well as corneal endothelial transplantation (Descemet shipping endothelial keratoplasty) which is a new revolutionary method of lamellar corneal replacement surgery without the need for stitches as well as Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty.(DALK)
She is first person to start pioneering work of femto assisted lamellar keratoplasty (stitch less FALK) on fs200 machine in West region including Maharashtra, Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh.
She has a special interest in advanced management of corneal ectatic disorders like karatoconus with collegen cross linking , Topo guided PRK.
She is proficient in LASIK surgery with conventional microkaratome and bladeless or Femto LASIK having done large number of these cases. She has expertise in Phalcic IOL surgery (ICL & IPCL) for higher refractive errors or LASIK rejects.
She has special interest in the treatment of dry eyes & ocular surface disorder & done temporary & permanent punctal occlusions, mucous membrane grafting, SLET.
She has presented scientific paper & instruction course at regional, national & International forums. She is also a speaker for spirituality for doctors & a free lance columnist in news paper
